How to Assemble a Boom Vader 125cc
Curiosity finally got the best of me and I ordered a Boom Vader 125cc (Honda Grom Clone)! This video may not be the best way to put this bike together but I was able to get it done. Total time start to finish was about 3 hours.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
We got the bike together now it is time to take it out for a spin. These are my first thought and impressions on my first ride on my Boom Vader 125cc.
How I Calibrated the Speedometer
The speedometers on these little bikes are no where near accurate. Since there was no method to calibrate it from the factory, we had to look for an aftermarket solution. Luckily 12oClockLabs makes such a product.
FIRST RIDE With The 17 Tooth Sprocket
I finally got around to installing the 17 tooth sprocket on my Boom Vader 125cc Grom Clone! Now it does not sound like I am running this bike in to the ground every time I ride it!
I Swapped the Carburetor and Deleted the Emissions
Upgrades people upgrades! I finally installed the Nibbi 22mm carburetor and removed the emissions junk from my Boom Vader 125 Honda Grom clone!
I Installed Aftermarket Exhaust the WRONG WAY
Follow along as I incorrectly install the aftermarket exhaust on my Boom Vader 125cc. This is not a how-to but I do go over each step I took.
Installing Adjustable Levers
The stock levers on my Boom Vader Grom clone worked pretty well but were a little bit of a stretch. Will these adjustable levers make riding easier?
I Get Impatient Installing Bar End Mirrors
The stock mirrors were not doing it for me so I decided to install bar end mirrors on my 2025 Boom Vader 125cc Honda Grom Clone. It went about as well as expected.
I Have Big Plans
I go back and forth about my Boom Vader 125cc Grom clone. Some days I love it, other days I think about parting ways. Well, after going back and forth I finally made a decision. This little bike is going to get a big upgrade.
Boom Vader 125 Gets a MASSIVE Engine Upgrade
At first I modified the stock 125cc engine with all the usual goodies but after a while I wanted just a bit more power. That is when I found out about the 190/212 engine swaps. About $1000 later this showed up and the planning began. This video is not meant to be a how-to but follows that format. Follow along as we go through the entire process start to finish.
It Should Have Been This Way All Along!
I've been working on tuning the zs212 4 valve engine I swapped in to my Boom Vader Grom Clone. As it turns out I was making things more difficult for myself that it needed to be! I'm looking forward to finally getting to the point where I can enjoy this bike without tinkering with the carburetor.
